DIRECTOR OF SALES SUPPORT

The Director of Sales Support is considered the in-house expert on lighting design standards and line card knowledge so that he/she may support all departments within Visual Interest as well as its customers.

Salary: $100k+ depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide lighting design and product selection assistance to customers, salespeople, and inside sales staff.

  • Provide lighting layouts and renderings as needed on more advanced projects.

  • Assist sales with photometrics, budget pricing, fixture concept packages, cutsheet packages, crosses, project sample orders, and out of state project spec registration.

  • Handle specification house accounts.

  • Assist marketing with samples for Sparklab and other events.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering with Lighting Emphasis (or similar)

  • Minimum 5 years as a lighting design professional

  • Lighting design experience to include various project types (Office, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, Retail, Multi-family, Industrial, Site, Façade, etc.)

  • Proficient in AGI32, Visual, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and VI Lighting Budgeting Software

  • Strong product knowledge; including performance, quality, and price point

  • Familiar with lighting codes, energy codes, and IES recommendations

  • Experience in the lighting sales industry a plus; including proficiency in Oasis
