Airport Way

About the Project
Photos

“Airport Way” was a Tenant Improvement project, designed to reflect the close proximity to Denver International Airport. It’s uniquely lit open office features a replica of a helipad on the ceiling created by fixtures from ALW, Axis and Luminii. Linear indirect/direct by Axis Lighting mounted at varying angles creates interest as one wanders through the office space. OCL provided decorative luminaires that bring influences of airplane engine propellers. And we all love the little dots of downlight provided by Lightheaded in the meditation room. Zūm Wired controls by Crestron, and emergency and backup systems from EELP ensure reliability and code compliance without compromising design.

Visual Interest collaborated closely with the project team to provide lighting solutions that balance performance functionality with architectural impact. Working alongside studiotrope Design Collective, BCER, CED, and Regency Electric Inc. the lighting design integrates seamlessly into the architectural features on the project.

The result is a versatile, creative office space where lighting enhances both the performance of their employees and the experience throughout the building.
