Inside the Project at LCCC Blue Recreation and Athletic Complex
The newly completed Blue Recreation and Athletic Complex at Laramie County Community College marks a major investment in student life, athletics, and wellness. Designed by Essenza Architects, the space features a two-story fitness and athletic center, a renovated competition gym, expanded seating, and upgraded building systems. Visual Interest was proud to support the project with tailored lighting solutions that enhance both function and atmosphere across training spaces, classrooms, and event areas—while also helping to address acoustic performance through thoughtful fixture selection. With electrical installation by Simpson Electric and materials from CED Cheyenne, and photography by Philip Wegener, the Blue RAC now stands as a modern, multipurpose facility built to serve LCCC’s students and the greater Cheyenne community for decades to come.
