“Mariposa Te Quiero” is a bold, large-scale public art installation located in the Butterfly Garden at Laveen Heritage Park in Phoenix, Arizona. Sculptural Artist Dixie Friend Gay brings the piece to life through a dynamic composition of stainless steel, translucent polycarbonate, and integrated LED lighting, creating an immersive experience inspired by pollination and the natural relationship between butterflies and flowers.

Fabricated by Junoworks and commissioned by the City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, the sculpture stands at over 20 feet tall and serves as a vibrant landmark within the park. Its glowing presence shifts throughout the day and into the evening, emphasizing movement, color, and connection.

Visual Interest was proud to support this project, with Dixon contributing to the lighting integration that enhances the sculpture’s impact both day and night.

Photography by Chris Loomis captures the scale, craftsmanship, and illumination of the installation, showcasing its role within the surrounding landscape.
