The newly completed Blue Recreation and Athletic Complex at Laramie County Community College is a transformative upgrade that enhances the student experience through state-of-the-art fitness, wellness, and athletic facilities. Designed by Essenza Architects, the reimagined space includes a renovated competition gym, two-story fitness center, upgraded locker rooms, and multi-use classrooms. Visual Interest was proud to partner on the lighting design, delivering tailored solutions that elevate both performance and ambiance—while also supporting the project’s acoustic goals through strategic fixture selection. We extend our sincere thanks to our manufacturing partners who made this possible: H.E. Williams, Truly Green Solutions, Green Creative, OCL Architectural Lighting, Architectural Lighting Works (ALW), Luminii, Industrial Lighting Products (ILP), and Eurofase. Electrical work was expertly handled by Simpson Electric with material support from CED Cheyenne, and project photography was provided by Philip Wegener Photography. The Blue RAC now stands as a vibrant, modern hub for the LCCC campus and the greater Cheyenne community.
